Projects
Optimization R&D focuses on the development of algorithms for
simulation-based objective functions. Specific areas of research
include parallel optimization, model management, and interior-point
methods.
Fault-tolerant algorithms are essential for the robustness of
large-scale distributed simulations. Research includes the
development of fault detection and recovery techniques for large
cluster systems assembled from commodity parts.
