Hi everyone,

The special seminar on Monday, Oct. 26, will be from
11:30am--12:30pm in 380 Soda Hall. The  speaker is 
Prof. Shmuel Friedland from University of Illinois at
Chicago, to be hosted by Prof. Lek-Heng Lim. The 
Title of the talk:  
Theoretical and computational methods in statistical
mechanics

There will be no seminar on Wednesday, Oct. 28. 

For Wednesday, Nov. 4, our speaker will be Prof. Eugene Tyrtyshnikov, 
from the Institute of Numerical Mathematics, Russian Academy
of Sciences. His title:
Tensor approximation tools free of the curse of
dimensionality
