Greetings!
The UCB Linear Algebra seminar talk scheduled for this Wednesday has
been rescheduled for later in the semester, as the speaker is
recovering from a jaw injury. Please stay tuned for updates regarding
the status of this Wednesday's meeting.
Meanwhile, you might be interested in the conference going on all this
week at MSRI on "Interactive Parallel Computation in Support of
Research in Algebra, Geometry and Number Theory":

The schedule of talks is at the URL below:

In particular, tomorrow (Tuesday) will feature talks by our very own
Prof. Kathy Yelick ("Programming Models for Scientific Computing") and
Yozo Hida ("Moving Lapack and ScaLapack to Higher Precision without
Too Much Work").
The conference is free. Interested participants on the UC Berkeley
campus may take the H ("Hill") bus line from Hearst Mining Circle (in
front of Evans Hall) up to MSRI. The H bus leaves the circle once
every thirty minutes, at X:10 and X:40.
