Greetings!
I'll be away and without internet access starting about 10 hours from
now and lasting for about a week, so I'm posting the notice for next
week's LAPACK seminar talk now.
October 4
Speaker: Prof. W. Kahan (Math and CS, UC Berkeley)
Title: Circumscribing Uncertainty by Ellipsoids
A reminder: the LAPACK seminar series meets Wednesdays 11:10-noon in
Soda Hall (Room 380) on the Berkeley campus. The coordinator of the
series is Prof. B. N. Parlett (parlett at math) and the e-mail list
manager is Mark Hoemmen (mhoemmen at cs). The program will be a mixture
of research talks and tutorials. The tutorials will provide a partial
sequel to Math 221.
I think there have been some problems in past weeks with these e-mails
getting through to the BANANA list -- please feel free to invite your
Bay area colleagues who might not be aware of these talks.
Best,
Mark Hoemmen
