No subject

of encompassing a wide array of disparate topics.  Continuing this
tradition, some of the liveliest research in computer science today is
a blend of areas that might appear at first to have little in common.
Such interactions and their benefits will be illustrated by three
examples of computer science research combining elements from
optimization, security, network services, algorithms, computational
geometry, visualization, and wireless networks.
